I haven't posted in a while, but that's because there's really nothing going on here. The kids are gone for the week, and in their absence we've been have meetings. I have something to say about that, but I'll let Dave Berry say it for me, “If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential, that word would be meetings.”
We have Thursday through Monday off, so on Friday we're going on a hometown visit with our Colombian friend Susana. She grew up in La Mina, which is a five hour bus ride from here. We'll stay in La Mina on Friday night and then go to Cabo de las Velas, also known as Colombian paradise. There we will sleep on hammocks on the beach, have a campfire, eat fish and drink considerable amounts of rum. No need to worry about the safety of it, apparently guerrillas don't like the beach.
Amber, a friend of ours, is also coming on the trip. She has a working camera and no memory cards. We have memory cards, but no working camera. So, we've made an arrangement, and there will be pictures of the trip! Stay tuned.
