Food

We've had a full couple of days. There's lots to show and tell, but I wanted to give you an idea of the street food here. Our guidebook says that Thai people get together to "gin len" or eat for fun. Truly, they are people after my own heart. You really can't go five steps without running into a food stall staffed by a friendly Thai, happy to feed you. I took all these pictures in a two block area on the street in front of our apartment. I went to take pictures of food, but everyone wanted their picture taken too, which of course, I was thrilled to do. Don't you love the smiles?


























After all that work I couldn't come home empty handed. So I bought 3 dollars worth of chicken satays, which turned out to be 25! Fortunately, Brad and I are getting good at eating for fun, and we scarfed the whole plate in just a few minutes.
