Grand Palace

I told you that last night we stumbled onto yet another sex district, but I didn't tell you that yesterday afternoon we purposely found religion, and suffered for it. It was about 173 degrees yesterday, and probably not the best time to sight see. Eventually I told Brad that we should just run around and take a bunch of pictures, then look at them later in the air-conditioning. So that's what we did.

We did spend some time sitting in front of the jade Buddha. It was calm there, and quiet.












Tomorrow we head north to Chiang Mai. We've had a great start to our excellent adventure, and we're looking forward to the road ahead. We feel really grateful to have the opportunity to go all these places, see new things, try new foods and meet such kind and interesting people. We're both experiencing occasional waves of homesickness, but we know we have to take this chance while we have it.
