Xela

Brad and I decided to go to Xela, Guatemala's second largest city because some of our friends from Colombia recommended it for Spanish school. But as you know from earlier posts, we thought Spanish school was boring. We made the best of our week there. It wasn't great, Xela is polluted, our beds were uncomfortable, it was wet, and the altitude was hard to adjust to. But our family was so nice and Grandma cooked us three delicious meals a day.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner we had delicious tortillas.

Xela Streetview. See the volcano in the background of the top one? We climbed it.

Some of Grandma's delicious enchiladas.

Danny, our brother for a week.

The house where we stayed.

It's Grandma! Look at her socks :)
