Before moving to India we were busy. Busy packing, busy getting married, that kind of thing. And after we got here we had this series of small and large illnesses that made us not healthy enough to get a small amount of more disease injected into our bloodstreams.
That's my rationalization, anyway. Really, there was no excuse to wait this long to get vaccinated for Hepatitis A and Typhoid. We were just being dumb.
Last night we stopped being dumb and drove across town to get shot. Now I feel invincible! Like I could lick any surface anywhere. I love the idea of a vaccination. On the way home last night, Brad and I were like, "What else can we get vaccinations for?" I want a vaccination for diarrhea. That would be awesome.
Now we're truly ready to head out on our big adventure. I've been trying to avoid the countdown, but since we're just 3 days away, I feel like it's safe.
So, here it is:
2 full days of school
1 half day
an afternoon of packing
and then!
we're outta here.
